I am excited to introduce our new 3D Potterbot version 2.0 and 3.0. This is a completely new design optimized for larger build envelopes. The version 2 has a building envelope of 16 X, 14 Y and up to 19 inches on the Z height. The version 3.0 is 26” on the X, 21 inches on the Y and up to 22 on the Z.
Our two new designs are build more like a CNC than a 3D printer. For instance the control board is not only used for printing but is capable of CNC and laser cutting work. It has an advanced Oncore??? processor which gives us much faster calculation speed internally and smoother prints.
We also have a touch screen option which is integrated into the system for stand alone operation. This design utilizes stationary extruder on the Z axis. This is the really unique part of our design. By direct extruding from the nozzle tip at the end of the RAM, this gives us maximum control over the extruder material including stopping the flow at any time and reversal of the flow. Our linear RAM and direct nozzle extrusion has huge advantages over compressed air extrusion. For instance look at the consistency of our flow rate and the layer extrusions on this print. There is virtually no variation from the beginning to the end of the print. The flow rate remains consistent, you have total control over the flow rate so you can change it at any time, reduce it, increase it. You have total control over the speed.

Our unique traveling X axis design and traveling support system gives us the advantage of printing large scale objects without the need for large, bulky machines. All that our machine requires is a somewhat flat surface to operate on. This design also gives us the advantage of being able to break the machine down into a small package for storing reduce charges for shipping.
