Beautifully Renovated Rierson-Salmons Cabin is Wrapped With an Energy-Efficient Envelope
The Rierson-Salmons Cabin is a luxurious renovated home on Lake Superior with an energy-efficient facade made from traditional building materials. Salmela Architects built upon the site’s pre-existing elements, using the home’s old foundations for a guesthouse and creating a seating area on a granite cliff.
The exterior of the Rierson-Salmons Cabin features a thoroughly modern facade accented by linear forms. The black exterior cladding contrasts with the whitewashed masonry texture and naturally-aged wood surfaces.
